We, members of the people of God, in the Parish of Divine Mercy Chadderton and Hollinwood, in union with each other and with our parish priest duly appointed by the Bishop, recognising, ourselves as sharers in the role of Christ the Priest, the Prophet, and the King, declaring ourselves willing to accept the mission of our Lord Jesus Christ by working as collaborators energetically in every apostolic missionary undertaking sponsored by the Church do hereby join together and form a Parish Council.

We do so while representing all the members of Christ’s faithful, hoping to offer a forum for the organisation of their desired involvement in the life and activity of the Church and ensuring ours is a Missionary Parish. We do so conscious that each of us being a member of the Body of Christ (1Cor. 12:27) is called upon to offer his / her particular gift of ministry for the service of the Church  “so that in everything God may receive the glory through Jesus Christ”.
